Akribisch gesamplet und mit den Scriptingfähigkeiten des Kontakt Players sehr authentisch spielbar - egal ob Melodien oder Akkorde! What’s the bottom line?

If you’re looking for accordion samples, this is one to check out for sure.
Not an “all purpose” library by any means, so you may or may not find use for it in your music.
But you know me, I like to checkout the “specialized” libraries as much as the more general instruments.

I give Accordions 4 out of 5 subs. I think the sound and play-ability is on point, and the interface is very well scripted for instant control.

Fazit

Wer wirklich realistische Arrangements mit Akkordeon-Sounds produzieren will, aber kein passendes Instrument samt Spieler zur Verfügung hat, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse. Hier gibt es die Sounds der ersten Güte! Auch preislich bewegt sich diese Library auf gewohntem Terrain.

Die Qualität und vor allem die Spielbarkeit dieser Library ist sehr hoch. Darüber hinaus inspirieren diese Sounds einfach. Die Nachbildung des Blasebalgs und alle Nebengeräusche habe ich in dieser detailierten Form noch nicht gehört.

Ich bin wirklich begeistert von dieser Library. Wer echt klingende Akkordions in virtueller Form benötigt kommt um diese Library nicht herum. Der Preis geht mehr als in Ordnung. Für die Nachbildung von anderen Instrumenten wird zum Teil wesentlich mehr aufgerufen und ein echtes Akkordion ist immer noch um Längen teurer. Bei mir zu Hause fristet noch ein altes Hohner Akkordion sein Dasein, welches mal dringend generalüberholt werden müsste. Für die ein oder andere Unplugged-Session kommt es noch zum Einsatz. Da ich “Plugged” aber mit Mainstage 2 unterwegs bin, freue ich mich darauf endlich vernünftige Samples an Bord meines MacBooks zu haben. Im Studio kann diesen Sounds auch keine andere Library das Wasser reichen. Daher von mir ein mehr als verdienter Redaktionstipp!

Völlig zu Unrecht haben Accordions (vulgo: Quetschkommoden) oft so einen schlechten Ruf. Der begründet sich wohl darauf, dass mit diesen Instrumenten vornehmlich Besucher von Bierzelten und wehrlose Restaurantbesucher gemartert werden. Aber es geht auch anders! Man denke nur an den argentinischen Tango oder die französischen Chansons.

Auf der DVD, die von Eduardo Tarilonte zusammengestellt wurde, befinden sich acht verschiedene Akkordeons: Bandoneon (von 1930), Concertina, Single Reed Piccolo, Single Reed Musette, Single Reed Bassoon, Double Reed Musette, Left Hand Bass und Steirisches Akkordeon. Allesamt wurden Ton für Ton gesamplet, auch Tasten- und Knopfgeräusche sind dabei. Abgerufen werden die über den mitgelieferten Kontakt 3-Player, der speziell angepasst wurde. Dank dessen einfacher Bedienung und den vielen Möglichkeiten ist ein sehr expressives, lebendiges und authentisches Spiel möglich.

Fazit: Viele Instrumente, gute Spielbarkeit, guter Sound. Die „Accordions“ sind das Rundum-Sorglos-Paket für den Freund von Tasten mit Blasebalg. Einzig der hohe Preis liegt etwas schwer im Magen – der aber durch den vorzüglichen mitgelieferten Player gerechtfertigt ist. Und eine echte Quetschkommode ist sowieso deutlich teurer.
