From traditional Latin to Latin-Pop
Here is the new masterpiece from the producers of ´Festa Latina´:
´Latin World´ sets the new international standard for Latin-American music production.
For the first time the user has his own complete Latin band layed down on his keyboard: drum-, percussion- (all recorded individually and in full stereo!), bass-, guitar- loops and the marvelous horn section sorted by music style, keys and harmonic progressions (4 basic keys with up to 6 different progressions).
Users with more traditional South American styles in mind will love this tool:
you´ll find Salsa (with all its playing techniques like Mozambique, Guaguancó, Son Montuno, Mambo, Cha-Cha-Cha, ...), Samba (incl. Batucada, Samba Reggae, Mambo etc.), Bomba, Baión, Merengue, Candombe, Murga, a huge ternary library (incl. Rumba, Columbia, Chacarera, Bembé, Chamamé), as well as polyrhythms and additional break loops, recorded in different tempi.
4,7 Gb (!!!) ready to play...
Apart from the almost unlimited amount of loops that leaves nothing to be desired you´ll also find playable single- instruments like percussion, drums, guitars and basses for compatibility with the rest of the ´Latin World´ libraries.
The ´Latin World´ package also is the perfect companion for users who already work with `Festa Latina´, because you´ll find more than 65 % additional sound material recorded with the same musicians and identical microphone setups.

WHAT DO HAVE we have here then? 4.7GB of Latin samples– surely enough to keep Ricky Martin in backing tracks for a fair old while! Yes it’s another one from German stalwarts Best Service, aiming to be an all-encompassing sample collection for Latino lovers everywhere. You surely know what to expect here: feisty percussion, funky guitars, upfront horns… the works!
Although it’s mostly made up of loops (and there’s a stack of them), there are also a few useful drum kits and instrument multisamples to dabble with. As you’d expect, the mood is generally upbeat and funky. Native Instruments’ Intakt provides the hosting duties and offers plenty of creative mangling potential thanks to its LFOs, filters and multi-effects. We’re sure you’ve heard all about the interface by now though… what about the sounds? Well, this is without doubt the most comprehensive Latin package around bar none – offering a staggering selection of loops that cover all bases with aplomb.
The quality is pristine throughout, and there’s so much here that you’re bound to find something to tickle your fancy. But it’s the percussion section where this collection really comes into its own, with a healthy smattering of shakers, maracas, wood percussion and drums for you to layer up and get funky with.
So, we’re clearly impressed, but is it worth the cash? Well, yes and no. This is the kind of ROMpler that’s not going to provide you with much in the way of base inspiration for kick-starting those tracks. Instead, it’s more of a handy resource for you to dip in and out of for a few bits ‘n’ pieces here and there. Still, it’s undoubtedly worth the money if Latino is your thing.
