The Kontakt/Apple Loops version contains Kontakt-mapped versions of all loops from the construction kits, laid out on the keyboard for easy and automatic timestretching. Der Film lebt nicht von Atmosphäre allein, es muss auch mal rhythmisch agiert werden. Cinematic Percussion setzt genau hier an und fährt so ziemlich alles auf, was einen Score antreiben kann. Mit 30 Construction-Kits wird ein in allen Belangen weiter Bogen gespannt.

Das musikalische Spektrum reicht entsprechend weit: Vom dramatischen Marsch, über exotische Tänze bis hin zur historisch angehauchten Szeneuntermalung. Dabei geht es beileibe nicht immer hektisch zu. Einige der Kits wirken sogar regelrecht zurückhaltend, aber dennoch intensiv, Die Construction-Kits fallen mit bis zu 50 Samples überaus umfangreich aus. Alle Drums liegen hier als Einzelspuren vor. Dabei spielen mitunter zwei oder mehr Instrumente die gleiche Figur, die man somit überlagern kann. Der Sample Content von 2,6 GB liegt neben WAF und AIF auch im nahe liegenden REX-Format vor.

Das Klangniveau ist sehr hoch, nahezu „studio-clean“, was manchmal etwas Atmosphäre vermissen lässt. Allerdings lassen sich die Tracks dank der hohen Qualität und der vielen Einzelspuren leicht in eine gewünschte Richtung bringen. An den Rhythmen selbst gibt es nichts auszusetzen, alles ist sehr akkurat und dynamisch eingespielt.
