This product is a download license only. You will receive a serial number which enables an immediate download of the software installer after registering in your VSL user account.
If you are not sure about your internet connection and download bandwidth you can alternatively order the license + USB-Stick. This 16GB USB Stick carries all installers and content of the currently available VSL software products and will be shipped together with your serial number (no download!).

Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 is a cross-platform MIDI and audio LAN solution that works universally on Macs and PCs, hosting Vienna Instruments as well as third-party 64-bit and 32-bit VSTi/AU plug-ins. Use it as a host on the same computer as your sequencer to integrate all your 64-bit and 32-bit instruments and effect plug-ins from third-party manufacturers (such as Spectrasonics, Native Instruments, Waves, you name it), or use it as a master-slave solution with multiple Macs and PCs, all connected with a standard Ethernet cable. You can easily route the audio streams of a whole arsenal of computers back to your main machine without the need of external hardware. The Preserve function keeps all of your templates and samples loaded while switching from one project to another. As a Pro Tools user you may integrate your favorite AU and VST plug-ins in your sessions!

Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 offers ITU surround support (up to 7.1) and full parameter automation. Control all plug-ins running on slave computers right from your master and even start/stop your sequencer or DAW with the space bar from within Vienna Ensemble PRO 5!

If Vienna MIR PRO – the Multi Impulse Response mixing and reverberation software – is installed, a single click on the corresponding button opens the application within Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 and routes the channel’s signal directly to the Vienna MIR PRO application.

Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 comes with Epic Orchestra, a 9 GB free Grand Orchestra Sample Pack. You will receive 3 licenses for Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 (and 1 license for the included Epic Orchestra) so you can set up a network of up to 4 computers (one master and 3 slaves, provided there´s no Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 Server or a stand-alone version of Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 running on your master computer). The Epic Orchestra sample pack is identical in both Vienna Ensemble PRO 4 and 5 versions, so you don’t need to receive another Epic Orchestra license when you upgrade.

Full integration with Vienna MIR PRO (not included), which can be opened with a single click from within Vienna Ensemble PRO 5. Inserting Vienna MIR PRO in any channel of Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 will route the channel’s signal to the MIR application, which may run on the same computer or on a slave computer connected with an Ethernet cable.

Product activation:
Vienna Instruments require the ViennaKey!
This USB protection device by eLicenser (formerly Syncrosoft) is not included in the box of any collection, it is a separate item you have to get additionally. So you’ll have to order at least one ViennaKey with your first purchase. It will be put inside the shopping basket automatically but can be deleted if not required. Customers who order the complete SYMPHONIC CUBE will get one ViennaKey for free (not shown in the basket). If you already own another eLicenser USB protection device (e.g., from Steinberg or Arturia), you can use it for the VIENNA INSTRUMENTS, too. Each dongle can store up to 100 product licenses.
Additionally an internet connection on any computer is required to authorize a VSL product.

 …I never thought to buy anything similar prior to encountering Vienna Ensemble Pro, but now I have no regrets. It is a useful tool if you know where and how to use it. Also your old and trashy computers can begin a new life thanks to the three additional serial numbers you get along with your copy of Vienna Ensemble Pro. All you need is a LAN and the rest will come gratis
