As the latest offering in Sonic Implants acclaimed Symphonic Series, this library further demonstrates the extraordinary realism achieved by the combination of Sonic Implants distinctive design philosophy and GigaStudio 3’s powerful programming architecture- a pairing that makes Sonic Implants Symphonic Harp a library musicians and composers will consider an indispensable addition to their orchestral template.
The Sonic Implants Symphonic Harp is comprised of these four main files:
Harp Tones.gig- containing the following articulations:
Harp Fingers- harp played with the fingers; 4 velocities
Harp Près de la Table Nails- harp played near the soundboard with nails; 2 velocities
Harp Finger Mutes- harp played with fingers, key-up triggers a sampled mute; 3 velocities
Harp Bisbigliando- tremolo style playing
Harp Harmonics- natural harmonics
Harp Gliss Real Time - sampled glissandi featuring:
Major Scale Glissandi- fingers & nails; 2 tempos
Minor Scale Glissandi- fingers & nails; 2 tempos
Diminished Scale Glissandi- fingers & nails; 2 tempos
Whole Tone Scale Glissandi- fingers & nails; 2 tempos
Pentatonic Scale Glissandi- fingers & nails; 2 tempos
The ‘Harp Gliss Sliders’ file utilizes the harp’s sampled finger and nails tones in conjunction with individual controller assignments to allow users to simulate harp pedal action.
With all samples mapped to white keys only, representing the harp’s 7 notes per octave, assigning values to respective controllers will allow you to effectively engage a note transposition that applies across all octaves;
recreating the harp’s ability to re-tune each string to flat, sharp, and double sharp intervals. For instances where you need to make quick tuning adjustments, we’ve included MIDI files that adjust the controller assignments accordingly- just drop one into your sequence and let it do the work for you.
An even easier method of utilizing the ‘Harp Gliss Sliders’ file is to simply load any of the included scales which have been pre-programmed as.GSI files for quick loading. You can also create your own scales quickly and easily by utilizing the ‘Harp All Pedals.gsi’ which provides all four pedal options for each ‘string,’ allowing you to create every conceivable scale simply by choosing which pedal assignments to unmute in the stack. ‘Harp Gliss Builds’ works in much the same way- providing you with an assortment of pre-programmed scale GSI’s that cover all the most common scale qualities.
