Vienna Ensemble PRO is a mixing host with MIDI and audio LAN capability, compatible with third party plug ins! Vienna Ensemble PRO works universally on Macs and PCs, hosting Vienna Instruments as well as 3rd party VSTi (PC), AU (Mac) instruments and effect plug-ins. With the 64-bit version of Vienna Ensemble PRO you can load as many samples as all of your RAM will hold! Use it as a host on the same computer as your sequencer to integrate all your 64-bit and 32-bit instruments, or use it as a master-slave solution, even on cross-platform networks with multiple Macs and PCs. Run your sequencer on your main computer, launch Vienna Ensemble PRO on the slave computer, and simply connect them using an Ethernet cable. You can easily route the audio streams of a whole arsenal of computers back to your main machine.

This USB protection device by eLicenser (formerly Syncrosoft) is not included in the box of any collection, it is a separate item you have to get additionally. So you’ll have to order at least one ViennaKey with your first purchase. It will be put inside the shopping basket automatically but can be deleted if not required. Customers who order the complete SYMPHONIC CUBE will get one ViennaKey for free (not shown in the basket). If you already own another eLicenser USB protection device (e.g., from Steinberg or Arturia), you can use it for the VIENNA INSTRUMENTS, too. Each dongle can store up to 100 product licenses.
Additionally an internet connection on any computer is required to authorize a VSL product.

Conclusion
The event we mentioned at the start of this article will be taking us through Ensemble Pro live, but will also be showing us that Vienna’s MIR Pro is going to be fully compatible with Ensemble Pro – this is earth-shattering news. If you’re familiar with the auditorium-positioning mixer design, which allows you to move your virtual instruments around a virtual room to allow for perfectly bespoke panning and reverberation, you’ll see the immense potential of this combined setup. However, even if you have no plan to use anything even mildly orchestral in your projects, the networking capabilities of Vienna Ensemble Pro are utterly mind-blowing in themselves. This is the only hosting system worth thinking about.
