iRig MIDI

iRig MIDI ist ein Core MIDI Interface für iPad, iPhone und iPod Touch. Damit erweitert IK Multimedia die Reihe der Produkte für iOS-Geräte und bietet nun auch eine Lösung für Keyboarder und Produzenten an, die ihre Apps per MIDI triggern oder externe Geräte mit ihrem iOS-Gerät steuern möchten.

Zum Lieferumfang gehört auch SampleTank FREE für iOS, die mobile Version von IK´s beliebtem samplebasierten Software-Instrument, sowie iRig MIDI Recorder FREE, IK Multimedia´s MIDI-Recording/Playing-App.

iRig MIDI verbindet MIDI-Keyboards, Drum-Machines und -Pads, sowie MIDI-Pedale und andere MIDI-Geräte mit dem iPad, iPhone oder iPod Touch, um SampleTank iOS oder andere MIDI-kompatible Apps wie z.B. GarageBand zu steuern (inzwischen gibt es mehr als 50 Apps, die den Core MIDI Standard benutzen). Umgekehrt ist es ebenso möglich, mit einem iOS-App über das iRig MIDI externe MIDI-Geräte wie Soundmodule, DAWs oder auch Lichtanlagen zu steuern.

iRig MIDI bietet neben den MIDI-In und -Out-Buchsen auch eine MIDI-Thru-Buchse, so dass man auch mehrere MIDI-Geräte verbinden kann. Die Aktivität am MIDI-Ein- und Ausgang wird mittels LEDs angezeigt.

Das iRig MIDI wird über das iPad, iPhone oder den iPod Touch mit Strom versorgt, kann aber auch mit Hilfe des mitgelieferten USB-Kabels an ein USB-Gerät angeschlossen werden, um während langer Sessions die Stromzufuhr zu sichern.

Das iRig MIDI ist kompatibel mit iPods der 3. und 4. Generation, iPhone 3GS und 4, sowie iPad 1 und 2.

iRig MIDI applications
iRig MIDI is not only for keyboard players and producers using iOS devices for instruments, synthesizers or mini-studios. Guitar and bass players can also use iRig MIDI with multi-effects apps (including AmpliTube) to connect MIDI pedal boards for preset switching or effects control. Singers can do the same for controlling their favourite vocal effects apps (like VocaLive). DJs can use it with drum pads and other types of MIDI devices to integrate iOS apps into their favorite live rigs.

iRig MIDI includes* SampleTank FREE for iOS, the pro-quality sample based sound and groove module, and iRig MIDI Recorder FREE, the MIDI recorder/player utility.

SampleTank for iOS is the mobile version of IK´s leading virtual sound workstation for the studio offering 4 instrument parts with effects and an expandable sound set made of over 400 pro-quality acoustic, electric and electronic instruments plus over 900 rhythmic and melodic patterns that span every musical genre. Users of iRig MIDI will get a set of 48 exclusive SampleTank sounds for free by registering.

iRig MIDI Recorder is the free utility for recording and playing back MIDI sequences or any type of MIDI data to and from any MIDI-equipped musical instrument. MIDI recordings are organized by creation date and can also be exported via Wi-Fi, E-mail and iTunes File Sharing in Standard MIDI file format.

Systemanforderungen

iRig and AmpliTube für iPhone sind kompatibel mit folgenden Geräten: iPod touch (2te und 3te Generation), iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 und iPad. iPhone OS 3.1.3 wird vorausgesetzt.

Es wird nicht empfohlen AmpliTube iRig auf iPhone Modellen der ersten Generation zu betreiben.
Der iRig Adapter funktioniert an iPod touch Modellen der ersten Generation nicht, da diese keinen Mikrofoneingang besitzen.
